David brings extensive experience from a legal and investment and corporate banking career spanning 33 years during which period he has been engaged as a lawyer and a banker in the growth and development of the capital markets and the corp-orate nance and banking industries in Ghana.
Prior to participating in the estab-lishment of Ashong Benjamin & Associates, Ekua Hayfron-Benjamin was a partner in Reindorf Chambers where she participated in numerous projects involving equity and loan investment transactions in, inter alia, the banking, energy and mining sectors.
Julia joined Ashong Benjamin and Associates with an established career in academia, policy development and legal practice in the UK and Ghana.
In the UK, her experience includes advisory work at the Attorney General’s Office where she was involved in an array of legal matters including inquests, contempt, vexatious litigants, public procurement, national security and terrorism. In private practice at Essex Court Chambers, Julia worked on UK/EU cases in aviation, competition, shipping, public international, media and entertainment law
Tawia was until the end of December 2014 Director for Legal and Government Relations in Newmont Ghana Gold Limited. In that role, she spearheaded the development of strategies for establishing and maintaining positive relations with the Ghanaian government and other relevant stakeholders.
