JOHNNIE KLUTSE

Johnny Klutse is a senior associate with Ashong Benjamin & Associates. He holds a Postgraduate LLB from the University of Ghana and BL from the Ghana School of Law and was admitted to the Ghana Bar 2011. He had graduated previously from the University of Ghana with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Philosophy.
Upon admission to the Ghanaian Bar, he joined the law firm of Legal Anchor for pupillage and proceeded to become an associate where he gained experience in extensive litigation as well as transactional law. At Legal Anchor he was involved in major negotiations and settlements of several disputes and argued cases before the courts and at the arbitration centre. He remained at Legal Anchor for 4 years before joining Ashong Benjamin & Associates.
Since joining Ashong Benjamin, Johnny has been involved in several major transactions for several multinational entities. He has drafted and reviewed major transactional documents and conducted due diligence for several clients. He has also taken part in a worked organised for the upstream oil and gas sector players.
He has been a member of the Ghana Bar Association since his call to the Bar.
CORNELIS ROULOPH OTOO

Education: Called to the Ghana Bar, 2010, LLM (UK), 2017, LL. B (Ghana) 2008, BA (Ghana) 2005.
As a Senior Associate of Ashong Benjamin & Associates, Cornelis has advised on transactions and legal matters in various sectors including banking, energy, extractive industries, real estate, labour and general corporate. Cornelis has provided general legal advice to local and international clients in the areas of energy, oil & gas and mining as well as the growing area of local content in Ghana.
Cornelis’ experience includes conducting due diligence and drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and implementing of the various industry based commercial agreements and agreements required for debt and equity financing transactions.
Before joining Ashong Benjamin, Cornelis spent two years in the telecommunications industry as in-house counsel where he attended to commercial and corporate matters of the company. Cornelis also has a keen interest and expertise in information technology and intellectual property and is currently serving as a member of the Ghana Football Association Player Status Committee.
