Summary Areas of Experience and Expertise
Daniel is a management accountant and serves on the council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ghana. From 2006 through to 2009, he served as the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of Ghana. He assisted five other African countries in establishing the African Tax Administration Forum and helped to prepare the IRS for the commercial production of oil by setting up the Petroleum Unit.
Prior to joining the IRS, he served for 10 years 1994 to 2004 as Director of Finance for the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCBOD), building on 6 years previous years experience as a management accountant with the same company.
He has a degree from the University of Ghana Business School. Daniel is the Chairman of the Public Interest & Accountability Committee (PIAC) and also chairs the Technical Sub-Committee of PIAC.
